Update: Aly Cook Reaches US$20K target!
We published the post below a couple of weeks ago, one week later Aly Cook achieved her goal of raising US$20,000 to record her next album. Well done. Just shows the extraordinary power of effective networking on all social networking channels in a coordinated way to achieve a goal.

Nelson based country singer songwriter Aly Cook is a New Zealand singer/songwriter making it work, independently. AucklandMusic interviewed Aly on her Kiwi Sofa (see her website in the article) about how she has raised US$10,000 funding for her next album. Update: its now $12.000.
Since we interviewed her she has raised a further US$2,500.
